Who We Are
As bedside neonatal therapists, we long ago (like many of you) saw problems with oral feeding practice in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). For the past decade we have been working toward a solution. This is the result of that work. You might say we’re on a mission – a mission driven by the infants we serve.
The Infant-Driven Feeding™ Program (IDF™) provides education related to oral feeding practice for neonatal caregivers worldwide. IDF™ was born out of the passion to serve infants and families in the NICU as well as the professionals who support them. We believe that transitioning to oral feeding should be a safe, pleasurable, and nurturing experience for each infant and family. And we have come to understand that education, as with so many things, is the key.
